About Us
Our History and Mission
CNRG was founded in February 2023 by four executive members who shared a vision for a fresh and innovative approach to an Irish dancing organisation. This new concept promotes individuality, independence, honesty, and a support network for independent schools, teachers, dancers, musicians, vendors, and their families. Together, they unite as one team with the shared objective of empowering one another to achieve success and realise their full potential.
The name 'Croí Neamhspleach Rince Gaeilge', translates to 'Heart Of Independent Irish Dance' and truly captures the essence of our organisations mission and values. The thoughtful process of choosing the name reflects a sense of pride and identity that is depicted in the design of our logo. Each element conveys a deeper connection to the group's purpose and passion for Irish dance, reflecting a symbol of unity, independence, and individuality within the Irish dance community. The choice of the Celtic heart, wings, and crown further emphasises the values of love, freedom, and empowerment that are at the core of our organisation, creating a strong foundation for our members to embrace their uniqueness and soar in their individuality.
At Croi Neamhspleach Rince Gaeilge (CNRG), our mission is to provide a fun, safe, and fair environment for dancers to compete. Our digital marking system 'Reel Digital Feis Score' was built with the sole purpose of being open and honest about results. The adjudicator inputs their scores onto a tablet at their table and saves this. This serves to reduce the risk of discrepancies and we hope, gives the attendees comfort that the correct adjudicator mark is calculated and the correct result is awarded at the end. CNRG have uncomplicated general rules and expectations which we believe are easily transferable. We champion independence in Irish dancing and strive to create a welcoming community for all dancers.

Our Unique Marking System
CNRG's vision didn't stop at organisation and event level! It is evident that CNRG is committed to innovation and efficiency in its operations with our chief executive Daniel developing a custom digital marking system like 'Reel Digital Feis Score'. The use of tablets for adjudicators to input results directly seems to streamline the process and reduce errors, providing competitors with accurate and reliable results. This level of technological integration can enhance transparency and trust within the competition.
